At MVMNT, a free TMS platform for freight brokerages, Kadie is currently in charge of leading the product design department and developing a top-notch design team. She served as a Customer Experience and Design Consultant for various businesses before joining MVMNT. Kadie has expertise in developing new products from conception to launch, utilizing her technical and creative skills to forge cross-collaborative connections and guarantee product success. Kadie has a master's degree in experience design and an informatics degree from Indiana University. She is passionate about fostering design as a strategic pillar within enterprises, making experiences that leave customers in amazement, and producing products that have a beneficial impact. When she's not nose-deep in Figma, you can find Kadie eating her way through Chicago and hanging with her dog Kobe.
Episode #45: Ayelet Paz Akler, Product Design Lead at Applitools
Ayelet is a skilled product designer and user experience lead with years of experience in the tech sector. She has spent the last few years directing design teams to produce memorable experiences for mobile and B2B SaaS solutions while working at fast-paced start-ups. She has a thorough understanding of the entire design process, from research to delivery, and is knowledgeable about organizational procedures as well as Agile approaches. Ayelet formerly worked for a large enterprise organization called NICE as a member of a global UX team. She had a significant role in developing and implementing a new design system for the company's merchandise. She oversaw converting several design tools to one, which increased productivity through better teamwork and collaboration with other stakeholders. She mentors aspiring designers and hosts seminars and meetups to give back to the design community when she is not creating new designs. She approaches everything she does with an eagerness to learn and develop, constantly looking for ways to make things better and stay ahead of the curve.
Episode #44: Sean Dekkers, Head of Product Design at Digits
Sean is a human-centered product designer determined to take on as many challenges as possible. He has worked at IDEO, McKinsey, Google, Visa, and is currently at Digits. He has led cross-functional teams in a variety of fields. Sean has developed technologies that have impacted billions of people, from Apple Pay to Ferrari and Google Search, employing a straightforward method that can be used to solve practically any issue. He now spends his time interacting with business owners and working with the engineers at Digits to try and discover solutions to some of the messiest business problems.
Episode #43: Aditya Rao, Lead Designer at Yoomi
Aditya works as a Lead Designer for Yoomi Health, a business in the medical industry that uses artificial intelligence to reinvent physical therapy. He works on Yoomi's digital experience platform to make a patient's interaction with their therapist more fun. Prior to this, he served as a Design Strategist at ThinkPlace, where he created a framework for digital ethics to aid businesses in navigating ethical strategies for digital transformation. Additionally, he worked as a product designer for JioTesseract Reliance while he was in India, where he helped create the JioGlass, India's first mixed reality product. He is pursuing his master's degree at Parsons School of Design right now, and in his spare time he likes to watch anime, cook, and work out.
Episode #42: Yonas Berisa, Product Designer at Asurion
Yanos works as a product designer for Asurion in Nashville. He has ten years of experience in digital consumer communication and a background in graphic design and sales. He has sharpened his attention to detail and design quality as a human interface designer. Yonas is passionate about technology, design, and how they might improve the world. He is adamant that design and technology can support the economy and environment while assisting societies worldwide in resolving complex issues.
Episode #41: Matt Meeks, Senior UX Designer at Jitterbit
At Jitterbit, an Integration Platform as a Service, Matt works as a Senior UX Designer. Thirty years ago, he began as a graphic designer before gradually switching to UX design, where he has worked for the last ten years. He served as a consultant for businesses such as Teleflora, No Fear, Vegas.com, H&R Block, and others as they implemented digital transformations throughout their products and services.
